1. Creating a Single-Boot USB (One OS)



A single-boot USB contains only one operating system, such as Windows or Linux.

Steps:

  1. Download the ISO file

    • Get the ISO file of the OS you want (Windows, Ubuntu, etc.).
  2. Use a USB Bootable Tool

    • Download Rufus (Windows) or BalenaEtcher (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  3. Plug in the USB Drive

    • Insert a USB drive (at least 8GB recommended).
  4. Create the Bootable USB

    • Open Rufus.
    • Select your USB drive.
    • Choose the downloaded ISO file.
    • Click "Start" and wait for the process to finish.
  5. Done!

    • Now you can boot your PC from the USB by selecting it in BIOS.

2. Creating a Multi-Bootable USB (Multiple OS on One USB)



A multi-boot USB lets you install multiple OSes (Windows, Linux, etc.) on the same drive.

Steps:

  1. Download Multi-Boot Software

    • Use Ventoy (recommended) or YUMI.
  2. Install Ventoy on USB

    • Run the Ventoy installer and select your USB.
    • Click "Install" (This formats the USB).
  3. Copy ISO Files to USB

    • Simply drag and drop multiple ISO files (Windows, Ubuntu, Kali Linux, etc.) onto the USB.
  4. Boot from USB

    • Restart your PC, go to BIOS, and select the USB.
    • A menu will appear allowing you to select which OS to boot.
